WORKING CONDITION: Good. The mechanical fan blows air well across all of the notes. A few of the keys produce slightly less volume, but all keys do produce sound and are reasonably in tune. It sounds fantastic and feels very "alive" with the air blowing across the reeds and the slight haptic vibration you feel as you press the keys. The pedal in the middle, while it is supposed to be an octave pedal that you can lock into different positions, did not alter the sound under our testing. The "Gas" pedal on the right side is a volume pedal and when pressed does make a noticeable boost in volume, great for emphasis. It does, however, when engaged, produce a sub-harmonic drone that is not likely intended, one of the many quirks of this rare machine. 

PHYSICAL CONDITION: Good. While the cosmetics of the console show signs of age and use (see photos), the keyboard, itself is in good condition. While this Japanese keyboard specifies 100V AC as its power source, we have tested it at 115V AC with no change in performance. It does have its original 2-prong USA-compatible power plug.

It features a built-in electric fan/blower to generate air pressure for its reeds, producing an authentic, somewhat dark, acoustic harmonium sound.
