PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: This listing is for a Sputnik Modular Quad VCF / VCA Eurorack Synthesizer Module. The Sputnik Modular Quad VCF / VCA is a versatile four-channel Eurorack module that functions as independent voltage controlled filters (VCFs), voltage controlled amplifiers (VCAs), or a combination of both (low-pass gates), based on the classic Buchla 292 design.

SPECS:

• Three Modes Per Channel: Each of the four independent channels has a switch to select between:
  • VCF mode: Acts as a non-resonant -6dB low-pass filter, with the cutoff frequency controlled by the knob and a unipolar CV input.
  • VCA mode: Functions as a standard VCA, with the control knob adjusting the gain, which can range from -120dB to +3dB. This mode is fast enough for audio rate amplitude modulation (AM).
  • Combo mode: Combines the VCF and VCA functions simultaneously, where the CV input or control knob affects both amplitude and timbre, producing a natural, acoustic-instrument-like response.
• Mixing Capabilities: The module features multiple outputs beyond the individual channel outputs, allowing for flexible signal routing and dynamic mixing:
  • Individual outputs for each of the four channels.
  • ALL output for a summed mix of all four channels.
  • ODD output for a summed mix of channels 1 and 3.
  • EVEN output for a summed mix of channels 2 and 4.
