The Mesa Engineering Professional High Gain Amp Switcher is a rare, discontinued 1U rackmount unit designed to switch between up to four amplifiers or preamplifiers without ground-loop noise. It was a staple in professional rigs for guitarists like James Hetfield and John Petrucci because it provides "glitch-free" switching that avoids the pops and clicks that can damage high-volume speakers
