WORKING CONDITION: Very Good. The guitar is set up with .010-.046 strings and plays great. The radius is fairly flat, making it ideal for a slide guitar in open tuning, but it is also a formidable weapon in standard tuning. The bridge, tuners, and electronics are all fully operational, and the pickup sounds big and punchy. 

PHYSICAL CONDITION: Good. There are some wounds in the binding and finish, particularly the tip of that crazy point, which is probably supposed to be the "nose" of a Coyote, and near the rear bottom edge of the guitar. The guitar is solid, and the tuning is stable. The tuners have some play in them, but hold fine once adjusted.

The Hondo Coyote is a rare, angular electric guitar released in 1985 by Hondo (International Music Corporation) and famously designed by Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top. Built by luthier Mark Erlewine of Chaquita Guitar fame, the guitar's distinct, jagged body profile was uniquely crafted to resemble the face of a coyote.
