WORKING CONDITION: Excellent. The Mix control on this particular '63 Reverb is very smooth, and the Dwell control has great depth control over the length of the reverb tail. This is a solid standalone Reverb Tank. Please Note: The tank has been locked for shipping. This is easily unlocked by retracting the L-shaped bar inside of the unit. This is common when transporting reverb tanks and can be done without removing the back cover. 

PHYSICAL CONDITION: Very Good. There are remnants of gaffer's tape on the side of this tank, but the chassis, knobs, jacks, and reverb pan are in top condition.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: This listing is for a Fender '63 Reverb Brown Tolex w/ 6G15 Circuit. 

The Fender '63 Reverb is a standalone, tube-driven spring reverb unit originally released in 1961 as the 6G15 circuit. It is widely considered the gold standard for "drip" and "splash" in surf music, country, and rock. Fender produced a faithful reissue from roughly 1994 to 2016, which is now the most common version on the used market

• The unit is designed to sit between your guitar and the amp's input, rather than in an effects loop. It features three primary controls that offer more flexibility than standard built-in amp reverb:
  • Dwell: Controls the amount of signal sent into the reverb pan; higher settings create more "splash".
  • Mix: Adjusts the balance between your dry guitar signal and the wet reverb signal.
  • Tone: Acts as a treble roll-off for only the reverb signal, allowing you to darken or brighten the effect.
• The '63 Reissue uses a 12AT7, a 12AX7, and a 6V6 power tube to drive the springs.
