WORKING CONDITION: Excellent - Works great. All of the controls and parameters across the synth and the included keyboard are working properly. The owner of this synth just had the unit fully serviced to ensure that all features and functions, both mechanically and sonically are working 100% to original V1 specs. The internal speakers are fully functional as well. This iconic synth sounds incredible and will provide boundless inspiration for the new owner for years to come.

Important to note about this synth, it does not have a "master" tune knob like many synths made after this early period of synthesizer genesis. There are three parameters the user needs to properly to tune this synth. The first is the frequency knob of the oscillators, 2nd is the "Input Channel 1" knob, and finally, the "Frequency" knob on the DK1 keyboard. Even with everything dialed in nicely, sometimes the higher or lower notes on the keyboard will be slightly out of tune. Adding or removing patch pins will raise or lower the voltages for all three of these parameters and will alter the tuning to some degree and require recalibration if one is to use the keyboard in scale.

For many, this is what gives this particular original model its dynamic character and life of its own. A historic synthesizer without the "quality of life" upgrades of analog synthesizers that followed suit. With that, there are modifications one can have done to this synth to make the tuning more predictable.

For those looking for a close-to-perfect time capsule of an original unmodified Synthi, this may be an exemplary example!

PHYSICAL CONDITION: Excellent - A few very minor abrasions and light wear can be seen around the wooden side panels of the synth and keyboard.  The finish and face are in excellent condition with only some light discoloration or oxidation on some of the chrome knob caps and screws. Very well taken care of and preserved, a perfect opportunity for the synth collector to acquire an exceptional example in near museum quality physical and working condition.
