Details

WORKING CONDITION: Excellent - This is in excellent working condition. The Dumbleland amplifier was built as an improvement upon the earlier Winterland model, both of which strive and succeed at emphasizing the clean, natural tone of your instrument, with plenty of power to back it up. This particular amp is in fantastic working condition, with just a small amount of crackle on the volume pot and Accent switch, both of which clear up with a bit of exercise. The Accent switch engages a subtle amount of compression and boost on the input signal, which sounds great and reminds us of later Dumble amps: album-ready, no mixing required. This power amp is in excellent working condition.

PHYSICAL CONDITION: Good - The faceplate of the amp is in very good condition, with just a bit of wear to some of the text on the left hand side at the inputs. The power indicator lamp and all other functions are in good, working order. There are many scuffs and scratches around the exterior tolex, as well as a bit of rust to the front mounting screws. In a few places, there are small slices into the tolex that also penetrate the wood underneath. Lastly, the top handle is missing. For an amp of its age, this level of wear seems appropriate. Overall the amp is looking good and, of course, the structural integrity and "heft" of this battle-tank in incredible.

It appears that the ground switch may not be original as it does not match the power and standby switches. One Electrolytic Capacitor has been changed as seen in one of the photos. All other components both internal and external appear to be original and clean. Internal photos are available upon request.

BRAND: Dumble Amplification

MODEL: Dumbleland Concert Amplifier Head

FUNCTION: Power Amplifier

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: This listing is for a 1970's Dumble Dumbleland Concert amp head power amplifier.

A question one might have is what preamp would one would match up with this power amp? We suggest something similar to the Dumble "Manzamp" preamp we have listed currently. We are sure there is a builder out there, such as Fuchs, Bludotone, Welegan and few others that could likely custom build a preamp that would compliment this amp nicely. With the wattage this amp has, we think it would be the closest route to getting a real Dumble Steel String Singer or high-powered ODS for far less than an original!
