PHYSICAL CONDITION: Excellent-  All original hardware, frets and electronics with no modifications. Zero buckle rash on the back and the paint and finish are in excellent condition throughout except for some light finish wear around the armrest. The hardware shows aging and oxidation as one might expect but little wear. The frets are in very good condition with only some light divots around the first position. The serial number is very faint and barely noticeable unless viewed at angle under bright lighting. For its age the guitar is in particularly exceptional condition and may be the finest example of this model and age guitar on the market right now! 

WORKING CONDITION: Excellent - Plays wonderfully with nice low action and those breezy profile frets. Clean notes and easy playing throughout the neck. All of the controls and electronics are fully functional. Great tone coming out of those mini-humbuckers.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: This listing is for a rare all-original 1968-69 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Gold Top Electric Guitar. It’s essentially a transitional model, featuring a 3-piece neck paired with a 1-piece body. With its "big" headstock and 3-piece neck, it closely resembles a 1969 model. While it might have been produced in late 1968, the overall features align more with the 1969 specifications.

The guitar comes to us from what we believe is the 2nd or 3rd owner who has had it since the early nineties and who bought it from someone who got it in around 1971 according to the included LOA.
