PHYSICAL CONDITION - Good. For its age and the amount of use it has seen, it feels as though it should fall more towards "Very Good" condition, however, the amount of small but noticeable wear on the body and hardware establish it as a solid "Good" condition guitar.  There is finish checking, with light scratches, scuffs, and small dings over most of the body. The neck and fingerboard are in good shape. The frets are good with plenty of life left. The laminate covering on the top of the headstock is peeling away from the wood.  There is moderate oxidation on all of the metal parts, and most of the original gold colored coating on the hardware has worn. The guitar appears to be almost entirely original with the gold patent pending Grover tuners,  Guild Small Humbuckers, DeArmond knobs w/ gold reflector caps, and gold "Non-Deluxe" tailpiece. The plastic switch cap and Gibson style Tune-o-Matic bridge seem to be the only changes on this player's dream. The rear of the body features an excellent condition large signature by Robben Ford in silver paint pen. Overall the structural integrity is very solid.

  • Soft Case Condition - Very Good Overall. There are some minor small tears near the strap's shoulder pad - probably from use. All zippers and snaps work excellently. Overall the gig bag is very clean and other than some light but noticeable wear in spots is close to Excellent, but still Very Good condition.

WORKING CONDITION:  Excellent - The action super nice and playable. The neck is comfortable and fast. The full hollowbody gives the guitar a very rich resonant tone when played either acoustic or plugged in. It is the perfect go-to for picking hot blues licks or fingerpicking complex jazz chords. Each note rings through clearly and effortlessly. The neck is straight and at the moment of evaluation does not appear to need any adjustment - although the ultimate judgement should be up to the buyer's preference for neck relief. We recommend a basic setup to restore ideal playability, however, as it is the action and intonation are pretty good and don't need much correction.
