PHYSICAL CONDITION: Very Good. This bass has been played and it shows the years. The frets are worn and the fretboard has marks from being played. The neck has a bit of a smile and a few frets buzz above the 12th, but nothing a good set up the can't fix. The tuning pegs and bridge are original and heavily oxidized. The pickguard appears to also be original with scratches and wear marks from regular use. Someone painted it green over what looks to be the original sunburst and there are 4 large areas where the paint has been rubbed off, including the buckle rash on the back. The items we are sure are Not Original are the Body Paint, Pots/Capacitor, Fender logo, and the knobs (most likely not original). The items we are fairly certain are Original to this bass are the Neck (dated 7/58), Body (dated 7/58), Tuning Machines, Gold Anodized Pickguard, Bridge, Neck Pate w/ Serial No., and the Pickups w/ Cloth Wiring. This bass is solid and feels great in your hands; overall, it's in very good condition. A natural "Heavy Relic".

WORKING CONDITION: Very Good- Superb playability and phenomenal tone. This bass's plethora of good vintage vibes come through when you get this one in your hands, and that classic P-Bass tone plus the glide of the flatwounds really make for a special pair. The sound is clean, the frets are nearly flawless, and the only ding against this bass is that the volume pot is scratchy. Otherwise, this is one fantastic instrument.
